- I am looking to sell my 4000, but only at a reasonable price. I will
- entertain all offers, but I may not reply to them unless I fell like I will
- get my money's worth from the sale.
-
- With this I am including a Commodore 1942 Monitor, and a Zoom 14.4
- Modem, a mouse and of course a keyboard.
-
- I have a 4000/040 25MHz with 6 megs of RAM. It also has a 540 Maxtor
- HD and a new 300 Watt power supply. Also included with all of this Amiga
- stuff is some software: Amiga OS 3.0, WorldCircuit GP, Birds of Prey,
- SimEarth, Sculpt Animate 4D, QuarterBack Tools Deluxe, ProWrite 3.0, and all
- of the cool games and utilities that I have gotten from Aminet.
-
- I also have in my 4000 a PC BridgeBoard. It has a 486 SLC2 50 MHz
- with a coprocessor. It has 10 megs of RAM, and an 850 Meg Western Digital
- HD, a Western Digital Accelerator 24 bit video card, a SoundBlaster 16 card
- (includes software to record sounds, and play them), and a separate IBM
- compatable 1.44 Meg floppy drive. It also has many, many software programs
- on it. It has MS-DOS 6.2, MS-Windows 3.11 for workgroups, MS-Office Pro 4.3
- [extremely good word processor (Word), a spreadsheet program (Excel) and a
- database program (Access)], Norton Utilities 8.0 (disk management tools),
- MathCAD 5.0 (mathematical function solving/plotting program), PSPice Circuit
- Modeller (very good circuit modelling program), Links386 (a golf game), and
- many games and utilities that I have gotten from various BBS's and the
- Internet.
-
- As you can see this computer is chock full of stuff. I'm looking for
- a fast Pentium Computer to replace this setup, as I now predominantly use the
- IBM compatible side to connect to the internet and write documents for my
- engineering classes using Microsoft Word. I hope that I don't upset anyone
- by the actions I am taking to sell my beloved Amiga 4000, but I must have a
- faster computer to use heavy engineering software that is available for the
- Windows environment. But this computer is complete, and it is plenty fast
- enough for the average Windows user, and it will run every single piece of
- IBM compatable software. I even tried Windows 95, but I hated it. If you
- want to install it though, the installation files are still on the HD.
-
- Sorry for making this a long letter, but I wanted to portray the
- magnitude of things on this computer before I set the asking price at $2500.
- I am going to school in Grove City, PA (an hour north of Pittsburgh, USA),
- and would like to arrange for a pickup or at least a delivery if possible.
- Please EMail me at stu930570@gcc.edu or mahan@mailit.pgh.net if interested.
